T2-B Repulsor Tank![]()
![]() From the Expanded UniverseWhen the Empire took over mining operations on the desert world of Aridus, the local manufacturing conglomerates took care to protect their standing with their new overseers. In a bid to prove its loyalty, and maybe bargain for some autonomy, Yutrane-Trackata agreed to produce mining vehicles and other heavy equipment solely for Imperial use. Not everyone on the Yutrane-Trackata board was willing to support the New Order, however. Rebel leaders took advantage of this underlying schism, and paid sympathetic Yutrane-Trackata members to leave several shipments of their repulsor tanks and related manufacturing systems vulnerable to carefully planned raids. Through these operations, Yutrane-Trackata surreptitiously supplied Chubbit resistance fighters and the Rebel Alliance with tanks, while profiting from both sides of the war.Among the Yutrane-Trackata tanks that worked their way into Alliance army repulsorpools was the T2-B, the second in the T2 series. The armored vehicle houses four rapid fire-linked blaster cannons and sophisticated sensor arrays. While the tanks don't pack as much firepower as comparable Imperial ground units, their sensor systems are remarkably acute. Often, Rebel forces use T2-Bs as spotting vehicles for air strikes or other long-range attacks. The repulsorlift systems on the T2-B feature variable traction field emitters, giving the tank excellent resiliency on varying terrain, even transitioning from solid land to deep water surface-skimming with negligible adaptation-lag.
