Cere Junda
Among the scattered Jedi who survived Order 66, the purge that all-but wiped out the Jedi Order, Cere Junda has been living in seclusion for years. After saving Cal Kestis from the Imperial Inquisitorius, Cere begins to mentor the former Padawan. But along with Greez Dritus, the captain of the Stinger Mantis, Cere is on a secret mission of her own -- to rebuild the Jedi Order.
Cere Junda was the Padawan of Jedi Master Eno Cordova during the waning years of the Republic. An intrepid explorer who researched lost civilizations, Cordova was often accompanied by young Cere on expeditions and missions across the galaxy. After she became a Jedi Knight, Junda took her own Padawan, Trilla Suduri.
After the Jedi Purge, Cere was caught and tortured by the Empire. Forced to betray her Padawan, the Empire captured Trilla and twisted her into an Inquisitor known as the Second Sister. Devastated by the loss, Cere tapped into the dark side of the Force to escape the Empire’s clutches. Afterward, she vowed to never use the Force again.
Years later, Cere teamed up with starship captain Greez Dritus on a secret mission to rebuild the Jedi Order. After saving Cal Kestis from the Inquisitors, she began to mentor him. They both learned from each other, and Cal helped Cere come to terms with her violent past.
After fighting the Empire as part of the Stinger Mantis crew, Cere found a new purpose. She established a new Jedi Archive in an old Anchorite monastery on Jedha. Eventually, the Force brought both her old Master, Eno Cordova, and the Nightsister Merrin there. Together they established a Hidden Path safehouse, a place for fugitive Force users to hide from the Empire. But they were betrayed, and the Empire assaulted the Jedha safehouse. Tragically, Cere died protecting the Hidden Path and her found family.
