    Resistance Pilots

Heirs to the legacy of the Rebel Alliance, the Resistance's starfighter corps gathered freedom fighters determined to counter the growing threat of the First Order. The Resistance’s pilot ranks were filled by Alliance veterans, disillusioned former New Republic officers, and adventure seekers from every corner of the galaxy.

  • A starfighter ace already considered a legendary pilot, Poe Dameron is the son of rebel pilot Shara Bey and commando Kes Dameron, both of whom fought at Endor. Poe left the New Republic to join Leia’s Resistance, and formed Black Squadron to hunt for the explorer Lor San Tekka. He led the attack on Starkiller Base, firing the shots that destroyed the superweapon.

  • The son of Endor veteran Norra Wexley, Temmin Wexley grew up on Akiva, trained with Alliance legend Wedge Antilles, and fought for the New Republic in the Battle of Jakku. Snap became one of the first pilots recruited for the Resistance, flying with Black Squadron. He took part in the raid on Starkiller Base. He married fellow Resistance pilot Karé Kun. Snap died fighting for freedom at Exegol.

  • Hailing from Dandoran, Jess Pava – nicknamed “Testor” – flew with Black Squadron on the hunt for Lor San Tekka, and took part in the Starkiller Base raid under the callsign Blue Three.

  • A human Resistance pilot, Niv Lek took part in the raid on Starkiller Base, wishing Poe good luck from behind the control yoke of his X-wing.

  • Noted as a talented artist as well as a capable pilot, Yolo Ziff took part in the Resistance raid on Starkiller Base. He spotted the hole in the superweapon’s thermal oscillator that had been left by explosives detonated by Chewbacca.

  • Bastian flew as Red Four during the Battle of the Starkiller Base, falling back to protect Poe and the other pilots during an attack run against the weapon’s thermal oscillator.

  • A Sullustan smuggler, Nien Nunb assisted Leia Organa on many Alliance missions and flew as Lando Calrissian’s co-pilot aboard the Millennium Falcon during the Battle of Endor. One of the first members of Leia’s Resistance, he flew an X-wing during the attack on Starkiller Base.

  • A talented but reckless Abednedo pilot, Ello Asty was one of the first pilots to leave the New Republic in order to join Leia Organa’s Resistance. He flew as Red Six during the Battle of Starkiller Base. During the fight, ground fire struck his X-wing, killing him.

  • An Abednedo pilot, C’ai Threnalli flew as Poe Dameron’s wingman during the evacuation of D’Qar, though his unmodified X-wing proved incapable of keeping pace with Poe’s turbocharged model. C’ai then piloted a ski speeder against First Order ground forces on Crait.

  • Tallissan Lintra, known as Tallie, grew up flying an A-wing her father used as a cropduster on Pippip 3. After joining the Resistance, her skills behind the stick of a starfighter impressed even Poe Dameron. Tallie led the fighter escort of the Resistance bombers above D’Qar, and was killed when Kylo Ren’s attack run destroyed the main hangar of the Raddus.

  • A headstrong pilot, Stomeroni Starck served as Tallie’s wingman during the fight above D’Qar, helping buy time for the Resistance evacuation. He was killed in the First Order’s attack on the Raddus.

  • Jaycris Tubbs flew alongside Tallie and Starck during the Resistance bombers’ attack run on a First Order Dreadnought, but didn’t survive the mission.

  • Pammich Nerro Goode served as lead dispatcher for the Resistance’s starfighters during the attack on Starkiller Base, then piloted a transport following the evacuation of D’Qar. She then flew a ski speeder on Crait.

  • A former stunt flyer recruited to the Resistance by Poe Dameron, Seftin Vanik flew an A-wing at the Battle of Exegol. He was killed in the furious dogfight with the First Order and its Sith allies.

  • Wrobie Tyce flew with Cobalt Squadron, and was away on a mission with Snap Wexley when her squadronmates perished in the D’Qar evacuation. After the Battle of Crait, Tyce was reunited with her wife, Commander Larma D’Acy, and fought at the Battle of Exegol.

    Resistance X-wing starfighter

The Incom T-70 X-wing is the signature combat craft of the Resistance’s Starfighter Corps. Faster than the Alliance-era T-65s, Resistance X-wings are maneuverable enough to engage TIE fighters in dogfights, yet still hold considerable firepower. The credit-strapped Resistance relies on X-wings donated or lent by sympathetic New Republic senators and local security forces. Poe Dameron flew a customized, dark-hulled X-wing called Black One.

    A-wing Fighter

With its sleek arrowhead shape, streamlined cockpit, and massive twin engines, the A-wing starfighter suggests raw speed even when parked within Alliance hangar bays. Faster than even the TIE interceptor, the A-wing is well suited for lightning strikes. It sports a pair of pivoting laser cannons on each wingtip. The starfighters of Green Squadron, which flew in the Battle of Endor, were made up of A-wing starfighters. The A-wing continued to evolve, and was part of the Resistance’s starfighter corps during its fight against the First Order.

The last version of a venerable fighter design that dates back to the Clone Wars, the BTA Y-wing now flies for the Resistance in battle against the First Order.

    Poe Dameron

A Resistance starfighter ace, Poe Dameron is one of Leia Organa’s most-trusted operatives. He can fly anything – which is fortunate given how often his headstrong nature leads him into trouble. Poe leads the attack that destroys Starkiller Base, but soon finds himself on the run from the First Order. Sidelined without his beloved X-wing, he learns tough lessons about leadership, heroism and sacrifice. Those lessons will prove essential in rebuilding the Resistance before a showdown with the forces of evil at Exegol.

  • The Resistance

    The Resistance

A small, secretive private military force, the Resistance was founded by rebel hero Leia Organa to monitor the actions of the First Order. Most New Republic power brokers tolerate the Resistance while regarding Organa and her fighters as dead-enders with an unfortunate fixation on the past. Organa’s cash-strapped movement relies on credits, ships and equipment quietly funneled to it from the few senators who share her concerns. Resistance starfighters destroyed Starkiller Base, but the First Order’s retaliatory attack on D’Qar reduced its forces to a handful of brave freedom fighters.

    Rebel Pilots

The Rebel Alliance's starfighter corps was one of its greatest assets. There were nearly as many stories as there were pilots: Rebel starfighters were flown by Imperial defectors, reformed mercenaries, adventure-seeking farmboys, and daredevils who only truly felt alive in a cockpit. Regardless of their backgrounds, Rebel pilots learned to work together, relying on their wingmen as well as their training in countless battles against the Empire.
