The command center of Echo Base was a busy nexus of activity, carefully monitoring the space surrounding Hoth for any signs of Imperials. Though the focus of these efforts was detection, the command center would turn into a war room optimized for defense when necessary. It was this officer who ordered the massive ion cannon to fire at approaching Star Destroyers, offering cover fire for escaping Rebel transports.
From the Expanded Universe
Toryn Farr was among the last to leave the Rebel command center in Echo Base on Hoth. The chief communications officer of Echo Command escaped aboard the transport carrier
Bright Hope with her sister, Samoc. Toryn Farr was promoted to the rank of commander after helping to safely transport the disabled ship's 90 passengers to Darlyn Boda.

This Rebel officer was played by Brigitte Kahn in
The Empire Strikes Back. She received the name Toryn Farr in the anthology book,
Tales of the Bounty Hunters.
