Vosa, Komari![]()
![]() From the Expanded UniverseKomari Vosa was once a promising Padawan learner, apprenticed to the legendary Jedi Master Dooku. As a student, she showed a surprisingly aggressive temperament for a member of the Jedi order, and she was especially skilled in using paired lightsabers.Vosa was with Dooku on Galidraan when the Jedi all but vanquished the Mandalorian ranks. She was personally responsible for killing 20 of the seasoned warriors. Though the Jedi would grow to regret the conflict, Dooku voiced his admiration of Vosa's abilities and predicted an eventful future for the young Padawan. Thus, it came as a betrayal that Dooku eventually denied her the chance to undergo the trials to achieve Knighthood. Dooku and others had noticed a growing infatuation in the young girl for her accomplished Master. This and other instabilities in her character prompted the Jedi Council to end her training. Enraged, Vosa fled Coruscant and joined a group of Jedi sent to rescue the people of Baltizaar from the depredations of the deadly Bando Gora cult. Many Jedi fell in that mission, and Vosa was presumed dead. In truth, she survived. Subjected to torture and cruelty, Vosa succumbed to the dark side. She lashed against her captors, defeating the leaders of the Bando Gora. Reveling in her newfound power, Vosa took command of the cult, leading it from a decrepit citadel on Kohlma, a burial moon orbiting Bogden. In the waning days of the Republic, the Bando Gora cult terrified many through horrific acts of violence. The cult used the criminal underworld to distribute a deadly brand of death stick, a narcotic that transformed its users into slaves for the cult. These mind-warped servants could then be exploited by Vosa's Force abilities, and used in attacks against the enemies of the cult. When her activities began to threaten to not only the Republic, but those shadowy conspirators planning the Republic's fall, Count Dooku recruited Jango Fett to bring an end to Bando Gora. The completion of this difficult mission served as a test for Fett, to prove himself the ideal candidate to provide the genetic template of a mysterious clone army. Komari Vosa was a once beautiful female human, with sharp, angular features. Her hair is short and bone white, her jaw line and upper body are marked with dozens of tiny scars. Around her neck she wore a high collar of barbed thorns. Like her Master's weapon, her lightsabers have curved handles. Behind the ScenesKomari Vosa was designed as a featured character in LucasArts' Star Wars Bounty Hunter video game. She was first seen in a brief cameo appearance in the Jango Fett: Open Seasons comic book. Keywords: Databank - Expanded Universe Filed under: Vault, Character
