An Anx Senator with a long neck and elongated, pointed head, Horox Ryyder served in the Galactic Senate during Chancellor Valorum's term. A decade later, during Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's administration, the planet of Gravlex Med was represented instead by Senator Zo Howler and his aide Fo Kuna.
From the Expanded Universe
Ryyder is an excellent example of a calm, levelheaded politician, something of a rarity in the turbulent times that marked the Republic's final years. He is one of the Senate's few calming influences. His patience, insight, and soothing demeanor have earned him many allies in the upper echelons of Coruscant.
Ryyder is an Anx, a towering species from Gravlex Med. This species has a reputation for courtesy and serenity.
