Arbra![]()
![]() From the Expanded UniverseArbra is a distant arboreal planet that served as the Rebel Alliance's main headquarters after the Battle of Hoth. So fortunate were they to find Arbra, Rebel agents nicknamed it Salvation. Forest covers much of the world, growing up the sides of immense mountains, and filling the low valleys. The planet is populated by Hoojibs, tiny telepathic rodent-like sentients. The Hoojibs allowed the Rebels to use their world after Alliance troops helped them defeat the Slivilith, a creature that posed a threat to the little rodents. The Arbran Rebel base was in a deep cave that served as the Hoojib's home. There, the Alliance could tap into a series of crystalline power rods that provided geothermal energy directly from the core of the planet. Millennia ago, there was an advanced society on Arbra. These beings sought to rid themselves of their negative emotions, and used their technology to channel these dark energies away from their bodies. They kept this energy in storage trapped in an underground grotto protected by a force screen. Over time, this negative energy manifested itself as a being known as the Darker. Arbra's coordinates were only disclosed to a small number of the Rebel's most trusted operatives, to ensure that the base remained a secret. When the Empire collapsed following the Battle of Endor, the core group of Rebels relocated to Endor, though the Hoojibs remained proud members of the Alliance of Free Planets. Behind the ScenesArbra first appeared in the Marvel Comics series run of Star Wars comics. It was also turned into a book-and-record set entitled Planet of the Hoojibs. Keywords: Databank - Expanded Universe Filed under: Vault, Location
