Know a Legion: Mexican Garrison

Logo: "A round logo with our flag's logo and a helmet on top," Commanding Officer Carlos A. Breitling (TX 1601) says.

Events: "The Mexican Garrison attends a lot of events yearly in all the Mexican territories," Breitling says. "We attend approximately between 60 to 90 events each year including Leon's City anniversary, Collectors' Expo in Mexico City and San Diego Comic-Con."

Charities: "Each year we attend several fundraising events throughout the country, " Breitling says. "The most important is the Red Cross fundraiser in April following important telethon fundraising in December. On these two we have about 90 percent of our 100+ members attending. We also attend to hospital visits and some smaller altruistic events."

Interesting Facts: "We have members that have international duties in the 501st Legion, as well," Breitling says. "We have the Holocron Keeper on the Sith Lord's Detachment Forum. He's the one in charge of helping new members who want a Sith Lord costume in the 501st Legion. We have an assistant of our LCO Albin Johnson. He is a mediator of all the Latin American units of the 501st Legion. We also have a member who updates the Legion's worldwide event calendar."

"Most of us keep in touch via instant messenger, email or phone calls. That's the way we keep in touch and get ourselves organized in an easier way."
