One lucky Star Wars fan is getting an up-close view of Endor — though this version has a lot more bricks. Unveiled on Star Wars Day, May the 4th, LEGO has transformed five-year-old Milun Simpson’s bedroom into a real-life LEGO Ewok Village.
Hailing from Knebworth Hertfordshire, Milun won a contest in Star Wars Comic magazine asking fans to design their own LEGO Star Wars bedroom. His entry wowed the judges at LEGO HQ, and was selected over hundreds submitted for the competition.
LEGO has now made his dream bedroom a reality by building his design completely out of thousands of LEGO bricks in collaboration with Bright Bricks, the professionally certified LEGO building company. Milun’s bedroom makeover highlights include:
- LEGO Ewok Village tree house bed
- Four-meter-long LEGO wall mural featuring a large 3D Millennium Falcon and a life-size Yoda
- Yoda’s house
- Death Star table lamp
- Large R2-D2 LEGO model
- AT-AT desk
Marking the 15-year anniversary of LEGO Star Wars as well as Star Wars Day, children were asked to design their own dream LEGO Star Wars bedroom, and let their imaginations run wild. Milun entered after his grandparents bought him Star Wars Comic as a gift after a holiday to India. He has been a fan since his first viewing of the films at age three, and collects LEGO Star Wars sets to build and creates his own LEGO minifigure characters, such as “Darth Villinus.”
“It really is a dream come true for Milun and thanks to LEGO,” said Milun’s father, Matt Simpson, “bedtime will never be the same again, that’s for sure!”
