Databank: The Clone Wars //
The Force is a mysterious energy field created by life that binds the galaxy together. Harnessing the power of the Force gives the Jedi, the Sith, and others sensitive to this spiritual energy extraordinary abilities, such as levitating objects, tricking minds, and seeing things before they happen. While the Force can grant users powerful abilities, it also directs their actions. And it has a will of its own, which both scholars and mystics have spent millennia seeking to understand.
A custom-built J-type diplomatic barge, this chromed Naboo royal cruiser carried no armament, relying on a fighter escort for protection during space travel. Shortly before the Clone Wars, Senator Padmé Amidala’s party traveled to Coruscant aboard her royal cruiser to vote on the creation of a Republic military. The cruiser exploded on the landing pad, seemingly killing Amidala – but she had switched places with her handmaiden Cordé and so survived the assassination attempt.
Coruscant’s Level 1313 – so called because it was 1,313 levels from the planet’s core – was part of the galactic capital’s lawless underworld. Lever 1313 was a haven for bounty hunters, gangsters and other galactic scum, with the strong preying on those struggling to make a living. After she was framed for murder, Ahsoka Tano sought refuge on the lower levels.
Asajj Ventress used a number of lightsabers during her life. As a Padawan, she used a green-bladed lightsaber, switching to a pair of red-bladed lightsabers during her years as Count Dooku’s apprentice. These Sith sabers had curved hilts similar to that of her master’s weapon. Ventress lost her twin sabers in a battle with Barriss Offee in the Coruscant underlevels, forcing her to acquire a new, yellow-bladed lightsaber on the black market.
Dagobah was one of the purest planets in the galaxy, alive with the Force thanks to its abundant life. One cave in the planet’s swamps roiled with the dark side. During the Clone Wars, the spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn led Yoda to this cave, where Yoda had a vision of Darth Sidious’s triumph over the Jedi. Years later, Luke Skywalker faced his own test in the cave, fighting a saber duel with a spectral Darth Vader whose helmet concealed Luke’s own face.
As a Padawan, Ahsoka Tano used a green-bladed lightsaber, often wielding it in a non-standard reverse grip. Under the tutelage of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka became a skilled duelist, and built a second green-bladed lightsaber with a shorter, shoto-style blade. She used this shorter-bladed lightsaber to complement her primary weapon. During her time with the rebellion, Ahsoka used a pair of new lightsabers with white plasma blades.
The H-Type Nubian yacht was a sleek luxury yacht and what it lacked in weapons it made up for in style and a strong deflector shield. The signature silver finish is a mark that the ship belongs to a former member of Naboo’s monarchy. Padme Amidala used a ship like this after her J-Type diplomatic barge was destroyed in an assassins attack. It was an H-Type that whisked Padme and Anakin Skywalker from Naboo to Tatooine, and then to Geonosis where the Clone Wars would begin.
Mikkians were brightly colored sentient humanoids with elaborate manes of head-tendrils. They could be found in colors ranging from bright yellows and greens to reds with blue highlights. Some members of the species were force-sensitive, like the sister Jedi Knights, Tiplar and Tiplee, both of which were killed during the Clone Wars.
