  • While Rex has found his old friend, Echo, alive on Skako Minor, the Republic heroes find themselves pinned by Wat Tambor’s forces!

  • Though it took some time, Tech finally disconnects Echo from the Techno Union mainframe. “Rex...I got a big headache,” the clone says with a laugh. As Tambor’s decimator droid closes in, the clones and Anakin look to escape through an air vent in the ceiling.

  • The last to depart, Wrecker leaves a gift for the Separatists. “I’m putting an end to Tambor’s little science experiment,” he says, tossing detonators onto the system controls. Anakin lifts Wrecker into the vent, and the console goes up in a fiery explosion.

  • Echo leads the group to the only way out -- a narrow pipe connecting two buildings, with a landing platform on the other side. Below them is a giant nothingness.

  • But the heroes don’t get far, as Tambor’s security droids surround them. Running out of options, Tech has an idea.

  • He had recorded the distress call of the native Poletec’s flying creatures, the keeradaks. The clever clone plays the sound, and soon a swarm of the beasts appear. The heroes jump onto their backs and make their escape!

  • The clones and Anakin return to the Poletec village. When a pursuing droid attacks, the Poletec chief becomes angry, claiming that the Republic brought the war to his world.

  • Rex agrees, but presents the mechanized Echo as proof that the Techno Union is not neutral. They chose sides, he says, and so must the Poletecs. Meanwhile, Tambor sends reinforcements to recover his “experiment.”

  • The Separatist droids soon arrive -- and both the Republic and Poletec forces meet them head on! The fighting is intense, but the clones, Anakin, and native soldiers stand their ground.

  • The battle is far from over, however, as gigantic octuptarra droids appear! Anakin and the clones take them out one by one, sending the towering droids toppling onto the dusty ground. The remaining droids retreat to the Techno Union stronghold.

  • This defeat angers Tambor. “We must find a way to recoup on our investment,” he says. Meanwhile, the Poletec chief bids farewell to the Jedi, and the Republic heroes begin to board their ship.

  • But Echo stops his captain for a moment. “Rex, thanks for coming after me,” he says. “That’s what brothers do,” Rex replies. “Hopefully, it’s going to be just like old times.”

  • "I feel very connected to these individual clones and the hardship that they go through, and what they feel, and what they slowly come to realize. The depth of the tragedy and the difficulty of all of these different forces that they're working with and working under, sometimes that they don't even realize until it's too late." - Dee Bradley Baker ("Rex" and all clones)

  • "There's no preparation for me, other than just, I can see it in my mind. I can see who these guys are and I can see how I think they're going to move and their proximity to each other." - Dee Bradley Baker ("Rex" and all clones)

  • "I was also terrified that [playing the Bad Batch] wasn't going to work...fortunately, the writing is so good that it makes it a lot easier to do this. The coloring of each character is distinct enough to make an interesting dynamic as a team. They all have a different tone and setting and heat and level of reactivity to add to the particular usefulness or skill that is their superpower, so to speak." - Dee Bradley Baker ("Rex" and all clones)

Databank

  • keeradak

    default

    keeradak

With a massive wingspan and piercing red eyes, the keeradaks of Skako Minor have been trained by the Poletecs to be used as soaring transportation high above the barren landscape. The creatures will also respond to the shrill screech of one of their own calling out in distress.

  • D-wing security droid

    default

    D-wing security droid

An alternative to the Separatists' standard B1 battle droid, a legion of spindly D-wing security droids guard the tower base at Purkoll. Hidden among their slender mechanical frame are folded wings that allow them to zoom through the atmosphere in pursuit of other winged creatures like the keeradaks.

  • the Decimator

    default

    the Decimator

With a laser capable of drilling through thick metal doors, the floating sphere known as the Decimator is equipped for burrowing into sealed-off hiding spots and unleashing a blast of crackling energy to annihilate any organic creatures that may stand in its way.

  • Purkoll Tower Base

    default

    Purkoll Tower Base

Hovering above the dense yellow fog of Skako Minor, the city of Purkoll is home to a tower base controlled by Wat Tambor and the Separatists. But inside the Separatists are holding a dark secret, protecting the key to their survival and their sudden strategic advantages in the Clone Wars. Known as the algorithm, the Republic soon discovers how the battle droids have suddenly become adept at anticipating the clone troopers' every move.

  • Poletec

    default

    Poletec

Native to the planet Skako Minor, the Poletecs are a primitive species that use massive reptilian beasts for transport and are uniquely equipped to thrive in the unforgiving environment of the gas planet. The arrival of Separatist droids and later clone troopers puts the simple clan on edge — they do not wish for the war to come to their peaceful planet.

  • Echo

    default

    Echo

Echo, formerly of the 501st and the Bad Batch, has joined his old friend Captain Rex on a new mission to help his clone brothers.

  • Skako Minor

    default

    Skako Minor

Any trip to Skako Minor is punctuated by the planet's inscrutable elements, with ships immediately rattled and jostled by the unforgiving atmospheric disturbances upon arrival. In the murky, gaseous atmosphere, blustering winds and occasional electrical storms are hidden among the blinding yellow-hued fog. But rising above this gas layer stands the city of Purkoll.

  • Anakin Skywalker

    externallink

    Anakin Skywalker

Discovered as a slave on Tatooine by Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker had the potential to become one of the most powerful Jedi ever, and was believed by some to be the prophesied Chosen One who would bring balance to the Force. A hero of the Clone Wars, Anakin was caring and compassionate, but also had a fear of loss that would prove to be his downfall

  • Crosshair

    default

    Crosshair

Cold, quick, and calculating, Crosshair was once a member of Clone Force 99. A no-nonsense warrior who detested working with "regs," or normal clones, Crosshair served as the Bad Batch's sniper. His sharp vision gives him superior accuracy and, as a result, an air of superiority. After Order 66, he was among the countless clone soldiers committed to the Empire. His ability to neutralize a target at tremendous distance using his customized 773 Firepuncher rifle made him an invaluable soldier to the Emperor and a threat to all those who failed to fall in line. But the Empire did not reward his loyalty, and Crosshair killed a superior officer. Now he is imprisoned at a secret base, the subject of clone experimentation.

  • Tech

    default

    Tech

In the unusual group of specialist clone commandos called Clone Force 99 (or the Bad Batch), Tech is the computer and weapons specialist and easily the most talkative of the group. With his data analysis skills, he can puzzle through technical issues at speeds even faster than some droids. But sometimes his matter-of-fact outlook on the situation fails to consider the emotions of other members of his squad, like Omega.

  • Hunter

    default

    Hunter

Hunter is a strong and stoic soldier with a special set of skills. As the leader of the Bad Batch,—technically known as Clone Force 99, a group formed as the result of Kaminoan experiments to create a specialist unit of clone commandos—Hunter has extraordinarily keen senses that give him an edge when tracking down his targets. But his allegiance has been tested in the aftermath of Order 66, and his duty is now to Clone Force 99 alone, including the newest member, young Omega.

  • Wrecker

    default

    Wrecker

The boisterous bruiser of Clone Force 99, a group of elite soldiers known as the Bad Batch, Wrecker is a tower of a soldier, with powerful muscles that make him far stronger than the average clone. He earns his nickname well, as he has a flair for barreling through any obstacle thrown his way and serves as the resident demolitions expert -- a job he performs with much enthusiasm.
