October 30, 1998
To dress the sets for Star Wars: Episode I, Peter Walpole and his team in the Leavesden Prop Department reworked as many real-world elements as possible to create believable yet fantastic props. Scrap yards, airfields and the medical equipment warehouse featured in this video segment, were all excellent sources for the unique and often bizarre bits and pieces used to create the exotic environment of Episode I.
