Jedi Masters are fairly tricky to locate on this planet, but with some craft supplies, a needle and thread -- and some patience -- you can make your own cuddly Yoda felt doll. It's easy to make, plus it's fun! Just print out the pattern made by our Star Wars artist Cat Staggs, and follow the instructions below!

What You Need:

1. Green, Brown, Gray and Red Felt Squares
2. Scissors
3. Straight pins
4. Needle and green and brown thread
5. Googley eyes
6. Black embroidery thread or yarn
7. Pillow stuffing or tissues
8. Print out Yoda Doll Patterns:
Body
Jedi Robe Front
Jedi Robe Back

Instructions:

1. After cutting out the paper Yoda doll pattern, place it on top of the two green felt squares for the body, and the Jedi Robe pattern on the brown felt squares. Trace the designs and cut out each.

2. Next you'll want a parent or another adult to sew together the Yoda body first. Be sure to secure the felt pieces together with straight pins. Then sew the felt together by hand using a simple stitch. Make sure to allow two spaces for stuffing the doll at the top and at the bottom.

3. Gently stuff Yoda's body using tissues or pillow stuffing. Use an unsharpened pencil to help move the stuffing into the harder-to-reach places of the doll. When the body is full, sew the openings shut.

4. Next glue two goggley eyes on Yoda's face. Using black embroidery thread or yarn, sew on his nose, and mouth. Or if you prefer, glue on a nose and mouth made from yarn or black felt.

5. Don't forget to have an adult sew together his brown Jedi robe! Be sure the felt cutouts still fit the newly-stuffed Yoda doll, then sew the Jedi Master into his robe! (Keep in mind the back robe piece will be slightly bigger than the front piece to accommodate for Yoda's stuffing. Add a piece of gray or tan fabric for his tunic to show underneath his robe. Cut any additional fabric around the sewing for a more tailored fit.

Have fun with your felt Jedi Master, and feel free to make Yoda his own set of accessories like a lightsaber, or cane or even a dwelling completely made from felt scraps!
