[ The Episode II Illustrated Companion ]Star Wars fans in Great Britain will get their chance to delve behind the scenes and inside the story of Episode II with the upcoming trade paperback, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones -- The Illustrated Companion.

The 144-page book, written and compiled by Marcus Hearn, is split into two major sections: The World of Episode II and The Making of Episode II. The first section explores the galaxy of Star Wars, looking into character histories, vehicles specifications, and colorful write-ups on planets, aliens and creatures --- as well as connections between the new prequel and the classic trilogy.

The second section goes behind the camera, looking at the talented men and women that helped make Episode II a revolutionary movie. Learn more about the talented actors and the concept, animatic and visual effects artists. Read about the craftspeople behind the sets and costumes, as well as Writer/Director George Lucas, Producer Rick McCallum, and many others.

The lavishly illustrated full color book is published by Ebury books, a division of Random House in Great Britain, and is due out on April 23.
