Star Wars Recycle Glitter Globe

Snow globes are fun to play with, but even more of a blast to make. It's a great way to recycle small glass jars and display extra Star Wars miniatures you might have handy.

This glitter globe recreates the snow tundra-like planet that you find the Talz species the Jedi and clone troopers encounter in the "Trespass" episode of The Clone Wars. But you can also use an AT-AT or wampa ice creature figure to make a Hoth scene. Or switch to green glitter and make a Dagobah scene.

What You Need:

  • Small glass jar with lid
  • Star Wars toy miniatures - Talz figure
  • Chunky silver or white glitter
  • Glue (not water-soluble)
  • Plastic bottle cap
  • Distilled water

Instructions:

1. Clean out a small glass jar with lid. Using strong craft glue (that's not water soluble) secure your Star Wars miniature to the bottle cap to serve as a stand. That way you'll be able to see your miniature better in the globe. The glue the bottle cap to the inside center of the jar lid. Let dry.

2. Fill your jar almost to the top with distilled water. Screw the lid on to make sure you have enough water to fill the jar, but not too much that it spills. Then add silver or white glitter, or both to the water. Place glue along the rim of the jar opening and inside the lid, then screw tightly shut. Let dry overnight.

3. Turn the glitter globe right side up and shake, shake, shake!
