The best-selling
Star Wars DVD box set won three awards at the DVD Exclusive Awards. The awards are presented by
DVD Exclusive, a monthly magazine from trade magazine
Video Business, a sister publication of
Variety/Daily Variety.The entire set won in the category of Best Overall DVD, Classic Film. The "Empire of Dreams: The Story of the Star Wars Trilogy" documentary directed by Kevin Burns won Best Behind-the-Scenes Program. And Van Ling's innovative menus for the Star Wars Trilogy DVD box set won Best Menu Design.
Star Wars actor Mark Hamill picked up an award as producer of the Best Live-Action DVD Premiere Movie winner, Comic Book: the Movie.
The awards were picked up by Lucasfilm Marketing's Tom Warner and Kevin Kurtz on behalf of Marketing Vice President Jim Ward; documentary director Kevin Burns, and menu producer Van Ling.
