Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Season 1, Episode 14 //
Defenders of Peace
The leader of the Lurmen, Tee Watt Kaa, refuses to shelter the Jedi from arriving Separatist forces, fearing that such an action would unnecessarily bring his neutral people into the war. Ahsoka, Aayla, the wounded Anakin, and the rest of the clones respect their wishes as they don't want to jeopardize the village with their presence, so they have to retreat into the wilds of the planet. Separatist Neimoidian General Lok Durd arrives to test a devastating weapon, which they plan to use on the Lurmen! Ultimately, the villagers have to decide whether they will lay down to the Separatists or fight with the Jedi to defend their village.
While the Jedi combat a new Separatist weapon, the pacifist Lurmen must decide whether they will lay down to the oppressive Separatists or fight with Anakin, Ahsoka and Jedi General Aayla Secura.
Discovered as a slave on Tatooine by Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker had the potential to become one of the most powerful Jedi ever, and was believed by some to be the prophesied Chosen One who would bring balance to the Force. A hero of the Clone Wars, Anakin was caring and compassionate, but also had a fear of loss that would prove to be his downfall.
Tee Watt Kaa's tribe of Lurmen landed on Maridun -- an uncharted world -- to escape the bloodshed and violence of the Clone Wars. Tee Watt Kaa believed in non-violence and non-aggressive solutions. The Lurmen colonists carved out a peaceful existence on the plains of Maridun, harvesting enormous seedpods to use as shelter, extracting vital oils within for nourishment and medicine.
Ahsoka Tano, a Togruta female, was the Padawan learner to Anakin Skywalker and a hero of the Clone Wars. Alongside Anakin, she grew from headstrong student into a mature leader. But her destiny laid along a different path than the Jedi.
With an athletic build, an exotic beauty, and blue skin, Aayla Secura stood out among the many faces of the Jedi ranks. A cunning warrior and Jedi Knight during the rise of the Clone Wars, Aayla fought alongside Clone Commander Bly on many exotic battlefields. Having mastered the emotional detachment necessary in the Jedi Order, she always tried to pass on what she had learned to others.
Lok Durd was an obese Neimoidian general in the army of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. A flamboyant and heartless weapons developer, some say if Lok Durd could make half the noise on the battlefield that he does in the war room, then the Separatists would have won the war. Durd longed to impress Count Dooku with his battlefield inventions. The Neimoidian general unleashed the Defoliator on the planet Maridun during the Clone Wars.
Clone Captain Rex served the Republic during the Clone Wars, often taking orders from Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. He viewed military service as an honor, and he always completed his mission. Fond of using two blaster pistols at the same time, Rex customized his armor with distinctive blue markings.
