Do you want a special Wookiee to be your valentine? Or maybe you have a crush on a certain Sith? Making your own valentines is fun and easy. Plus you can make them extra special using your very own stamp made from an everyday potato!
Just follow the simple instructions provided below. And soon you'll be giving friends and family members one-of-a-kind card creations to show how much you care.
What You Need:
- 1 large Potato
- Butter knife
- Paper Clip
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Glitter glue
- Colored pens and pencils
- Colored ink pad
- Paper towels
- Printouts of Rebel symbol (click on the image below)

How to Make the Potato Stamp Valentine:
1. Have a parent or an older sibling cut the potato in half with a knife. This will be used to create a stamp.
2. Then cut out the Rebel symbol you printed out with scissors. You'll use this design on the potato half.
3. Place the Rebel design on top of the potato.
4. Have a parent carefully make cuts with a knife around the design.
5. When you take off the printout design, you should be able to see the cuts in your potato so you can start carving away.
6. Use a paperclip to slowly carve away so that the image that's black on the print out is what sticks out the most from the potato.
7. Gently press your potato design against a colored ink pad.
8. And press it on to the folded white or colored construction paper that will be your card.
9. And now your have a homemade stamp!
10. You can also make a reverse stamp design of any symbol (like a heart) by carving out the symbol in the potato half so only the background of the symbol will be inked. Cut out and color other Star Wars character images and symbols, or draw your own characters on your cards. Be sure to use glitter, different colored paper and of course, a lot of love.
