Read. This is the Way.

It’s time to celebrate Star Wars Reads!
Launched in 2011, Star Wars Reads is a month-long celebration of reading for all ages. Created by Disney Publishing and Lucasfilm, Star Wars Reads honors the magic of reading through a commitment to inspiring the next generation of storytellers and innovators. In years past, Star Wars Reads activities have included book giveaways, demonstrations by illustrators, and more.
This October, Disney Publishing and Star Wars join forces for a celebration of reading geared toward librarians, educators, young readers and teens. The campaign — focused on the power of storytelling and community building for the Lucasfilm Publishing program — includes coloring pages, games, trivia, printable keepsakes, and crafting activities.
To start the celebration, the StarWars.com team checked our TBR pile and pulled together some of our favorite books of 2025 along with a few upcoming releases to help give readers a place to start their Star Wars literary journey!
The High Republic Books
Centuries before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, a golden age of the Jedi Order existed — one of great prosperity and growth. Split into three phases, 2025 ushered in The High Republic’s final phase, Phase III: Trials of the Jedi, which sees the Jedi taking on new powerful foes in the midst of a chaotic period. Start with Charles Soule’s final adult novel in the initiative; go behind the scenes of Phase II and Phase III with the concept art created for characters, locations, and the Nameless; or invite a young reader in your life for an all-ages adventure in comic book form!
- Star Wars: Trials of the Jedi (The High Republic)
- The Art of Star Wars: The High Republic: Volume II
- Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Phase III--Dispatches from the Occlusion Zone
- Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Phase III Volume 3
- Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Phase III Volume 4
The Acolyte Books
Star Wars: The Acolyte follows an ongoing investigation into a crime spree that rocks the Jedi Order and tells the interconnected story of twins Osha and Mae Aniseya. Readers can dive deeper into the story and world of The Acolyte with a novel that follows Vernestra Rwoh as she returns to Coruscant after years spent in the Outer Rim and the show’s visual guide for fascinating lore.
Additional Novels
Beyond the golden age of the Jedi, there are lots of other Star Wars stories to be told! The first book in a new trilogy told through the eyes of Andor characters Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, and Saw Gerrera explores what happened in the first year of the Galactic Empire rising. And Finn and Jannah are back in a story following the end of the events of Star Wars:The Rise of Skywalker as they grapple with their complicated pasts as stormtroopers.
