Show off your Star Wars style by making these fashionable rings featuring your favorite characters from The Clone Wars and Star Wars.

This craft is very similar to the Star Wars Marble Magnets craft, only instead of gluing your Star Wars image to a magnet, you're gluing it to a ring backing!

Gather up your favorite images, or print out this handy sheet of our favorite characters here.

Read on to learn how to make Star Wars rings for yourself and your friends.

What You Need:

  • Small Star Wars images
  • Metal ring backings (available at craft stores)
  • Clear, flat domes (usually found in the fake flower area of the craft store)
  • Glass or craft glue that dries clear
  • Glitter glue (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Paper towels (for easy clean-up)

Instructions:

1. Place the glass dome over your image to see where you want it placed. Keep in mind the dome will slightly enlarge your image because of its shape. Then place a tiny bit of glue on the flat side of the dome and press it on top of your image. Don't worry about the glue making your image cloudy. The glue will dry clear. Let dry.

2. Another way to do this is to cut the image first then glue it the same way to the flat side of the dome. Either way is fine.

3. Once the glue is dry, cut around the image to get rid of the extra paper around your dome.

4. Put a small amount of glue on the ring backing and press the flat side of the dome to the glue. Hold it for a few seconds until it's secure and let dry.

5. Experiment making different kinds of rings. Add glitter glue to your glass glue for an extra sparkle. Paint on top of the glued image before you glue it to the backing. Draw your own images and give your friends and family custom-designed jewelry made by you!
