Ever lose a brown sock in the dryer? Now you can put the other sock to good use by turning it into a cute Ewok sock puppet! No sewing necessary! You're basically crafting an Ewok hoodie for your sock puppet. All you have to do is grab a brown sock, fabric glue, felt, googly eyes and you'll have your own Ewok to put on Star Wars puppet shows!

Learn how to make your own Ewok sock puppet with this easy craft!

What You Need:

  • Brown sock
  • Beige, brown and red felt squares
  • Colored pom pom
  • Fabric glue
  • Googly eyes
  • Scissors

Instructions:

1. Cut a beige square of felt into a long rectangle. You can do this quickly by cutting the felt down the middle, long-wise. Fold the rectangle in half and glue down the sides, but don't glue the bottom edge! That's where your sock puppet's head will go in. Be sure to not over glue the fabric or you won't be able to stick your hand inside. Let glue dry.

2. Glue the top corners down with the fabric glue. Let glue dry.

3. Carefully turn the fabric inside out. Now you have an Ewok hoodie!

4. Cut out a hole for your sock puppet's face to peek through the Ewok's hoodie. The more jagged the hole the better so it looks like a rugged Ewok hoodie.

5. Cut a heart out of the brown felt (or whatever color your sock puppet is) and then cut the heart in half. The halves of the heart will be your Ewok's ears. Glue the ears to the top corners of the felt hoodie. Let glue dry.

6. Now it's time to give your brown sock puppet a face! Stick your hand inside the sock and use the toe line across the sock as a guide to where you need to put the eyes and nose. Glue down your googly eyes and pom pom nose above the line. Open your hand so it looks like the puppet's mouth is open and glue its tongue inside. Let glue dry.

7. Stick your sock puppet inside the Ewok hoodie and you're done! If you want the hoodie to stay on permanently, dab some glue on top of the sock's head and right inside the top of the hoodie and let dry. You're finished, now go put on a puppet show!
