Baron Boolan

Away on a long-term mission in the Outer Rim, Jedi Master Mirro Lox had no contact with the Nihil until after the destruction of Starlight Beacon. Known for his strength, optimism, and natural charisma, Lox’s calm demeanor helps him focus when his Padawan’s behavior surprises him and when he learned that the terrifying Nameless creatures are more than just a myth. After returning to Coruscant, where he once trained, Lox has volunteered himself and his apprentice, Amadeo Azzazzo, to help patrol the borders of the Stormwall.

Avon Starros, a brilliant young inventor, doesn’t let the Nihil, or problems with her mother, get her down. If Avon can’t build something to solve a problem, she uses her slicing abilities to find a weakness in the system standing in her way. Avon’s mother, Ghirra Starros, a former Hosnian Prime senator now working for the Nihil, ensured her daughter safely escaped Starlight Beacon's destruction. Now living in the Occlusion Zone, Avon has engineered a plan to find a Jedi friend, reunite with her droid J-6, and exact revenge on the Nihil.

Kildo, Tep Tep, and Gavi were all once promising younglings at the Jedi temple on Valo. Gavi, a member of the human species, was eager to learn and thought he’d quickly become a Padawan. Of the two Alcedians, Tep Tep was shy, with a powerful connection to animals and Kildo’s cleverness and ease with using the Force made up for his occasional mischief. But all that changed following the destruction of Starlight Beacon. The planet Valo was consumed by the Nihil Stormwall, and Gavi, Tep Tep, and Kildo have escaped into the mountains of Valo, where they have remained for the past year.

Ty Yorrick has a complicated past with the Jedi Order. Once a Padawan known as Tylera, she left the Order after a tragic event involving a fellow Padawan. Now answering to the name Ty, Yorrick is a saber for hire with a reputation as a skilled monster hunter. Preferring to work alone, her only constant companions are her droids, KL-03 and R0-VR. During the Nihil attack on the Republic Fair, Ty worked with Jedi Master Elzar Mann to help stop the Nihil, and later assisted the Jedi in the Battle of Grizal. After the destruction of Starlight Beacon, Ty is trapped in the Occlusion Zone.

Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh works diligently to protect, strengthen, and widen the reach of the Galactic Republic. Among her “Great Works” are the Outer Rim space station Starlight Beacon and the Republic Fair — both of which were targeted and destroyed by Nihil marauders. Despite these setbacks, Soh has remained calm and direct in her leadership, unafraid to make difficult choices and determined to fight back against the Nihil. While she responds to the deployment of the Nihil Stormwall, she also focuses on a crisis closer to home — the disappearance of her son, Kitrep, who is trapped behind enemy lines.

The anarchists known as the Nihil live for piracy, debauchery, and chaos. Recognized by their patchwork armor, gas masks, and marked by the Eye of the Storm symbol, they are led by Marchion Ro, a vicious Evereni. The success of these marauders is due in part to their access to previously unknown hyperspace routes and proprietary Path engines that allow them to jump to these secret lanes. As a result, the Nihil routinely surprise their enemies and wreak havoc on anyone who stands in their way. The terrorist group was responsible for the Great Disaster, the attack on the Republic Fair, and the destruction of Starlight Beacon. Since then, they have claimed multiple sectors of space—and the planets within them—for their own. To them, it’s simply Nihil space. To the Republic, it is the Occlusion Zone, a sector that is not to be crossed.
