Boomas were spherical, grenade-type weapons colored pink and purple that were used exclusively by the Gungan Grand Army. Inside each energy ball was a plasma-like substance harvested deep inside the crust of Naboo’s surface that would short out electronic equipment and droids, in addition to delivering great shocks to organic beings. They came in various sizes and could be launched by hand, sling, or even catapult.
