Ever wanted to draw Star Wars characters and vehicles just like the professional comic book artists? In this step-by-step series, Star Wars artists and illustrators show you how to draw some of the most beloved characters in the saga.

Star Wars illustrator Katie Cook explains with these easy-to-follow steps on how to draw Jedi Master Luminara Unduli from The Clone Wars animated TV series.

Step One:
First lightly sketch out her body shape. See how I've made a simple "armature" for her head, upper body, arms, hips and legs? This is going to make drawing her much easier! Try it for drawing other characters too!

Step Two:
Now we're going to draw in a little bit more detail like filling out her arms and adding in the basic shape of her costume.

Step Three:
From those simple lines, we can fill in the rest of the detail! Now you can draw things in a little harder with the pencil to firm up your drawing. Luminara has a really fun, flowing costume, so you can have fun with it. See how I've made it blow to one side? That makes her pose more dramatic!

Step Four:
Now, we're going to go over your pencil drawing with a black pen. I used a Micron Pigma Pen, but you can use a thick black marker or any kind of black pen you happen to have in your art arsenal. I've left the ink lines out where I'm going to draw in the blade of the lightsaber, because when I color it, I want some white space to make the lightsaber glow.

Step Five:
Carefully erase your pencil lines when your ink lines have dried.

Step Six:
Now you can color your drawing! I used markers to color mine, but you can use crayons or colored pencils too. I've even added a few other details to make the drawing fun.
