    Roland Durand

The son of crime boss Isa Durand, Roland Durand hopes to make a name for himself in the galaxy by taking what he wants. Flanked by his hired goons, he joined forces with the Pyke Syndicate and set up shop on Ord Mantell, using his ties to usurp Cid's parlor for its prime location amid a web of hyperspace routes perfect for spice smuggling. But he lost a horn in that bid for power, and now serves his mother closer to home on Devaron.

    Cid's Parlor

Amid the refuse specked and graffitied streets of Ord Mantell, Cid operates a dank, underground parlor. Patrons mingle at gaming tables while Cid tends bar, turning away newcomers who look like trouble or don't seem to have credits to spend.

  • Ord Mantell

    default

    Ord Mantell

In the waning days of the Republic, Ord Mantell housed a base of operations for the Black Sun crime syndicate. During the Clone Wars, it was the site of a battle between the Separatists and the Shadow Collective, of which Black Sun was a member. But after the Empire came to power, the inhabitants of the mountainous world fell on hard times, laying low and working jobs where no questions would be asked. It was still a wretched hive of scum and villainy when Rebel Alliance general and former smuggler Han Solo had a run-in with a bounty hunter on the planet some years later.

  • Pyke Syndicate

    Pyke Syndicate

During the Clone Wars, the Pykes became the galaxy’s preeminent spice dealers, gaining control of mining operations on Kessel and funneling illicit substances to Coruscant’s most influential crime families. The Pykes’ stronghold is Oba Diah, but they are a powerful presence on nearby Kessel. Pyke sentinels keep a close watch on miners sentenced to extract spice and coaxium from Kessel, as well as on the smugglers hired to ferry these valuable cargos to offworld purification plants and refineries.
