    Clone Commander Cody

A natural and practical leader in the clone army, Commander Cody's keen ability to strategize, combined with his fierce combat style in the heat of battle once earned him the respect of the Jedi and of his fellow clones. After years in service to General Obi-Wan Kenobi and working alongside his friend Captain Rex, when Darth Sidious executed Order 66, Cody's loyalty was eclipsed by his clone indoctrination, and he ordered his troops to fire on the Jedi. But after serving the Galactic Empire for a time, Cody began to realize that the Empire's idea of order called for brute force and bending the truth. And after leading a mission to secure the world of Desix in the name on the Emperor, Cody vanished.

Cody was sometimes cautious but always highly capable, leading his troops effectively on missions ranging from straightforward infantry assaults to infiltration raids. He formed a friendship with his fellow clone Captain Rex, who served Anakin Skywalker.

Despite Cody’s friendship with Obi-Wan, he didn’t hesitate when he received Order 66 from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine at the end of the Clone Wars. Obeying the Republic’s commander-in-chief, Cody gave the order to fire on his Jedi General, then sent troops to see if he’d been killed.

  • When the Separatists launched an invasion of Kamino, Cody and Rex all but insisted that they join the mission to push the invaders back. Kamino was their home, and as Cody noted, that made the attack personal for the clones.

  • Cody assisted Obi-Wan during the mission to rescue Even Piell and Captain Tarkin from the feared Separatist prison known as the Citadel, fighting both battle droids and the facility’s numerous traps and defenses.

  • Warden Osi Sobeck’s droids captured Cody, Obi-Wan and Even Piell – but R2-D2 and his team of reprogrammed pilot droids intercepted their captors on the way to the interrogation room, taking over the guard detail and leading the “prisoners” to the shuttle. The getaway plan failed when more Separatist forces arrived, forcing the Jedi and clones to flee once again.

  • The Republic launched a rescue mission, but the Jedi and clones had to reach the extraction point, which required a perilous journey through the caverns of the planet Lola Sayu. Cody, Rex, Fives and the other clone troopers had to fight off droids and anoobas to survive.

  • Cody’s 212th Legion faced a particularly difficult test on Umbara: the Separatist-allied Umbarans had advanced weaponry; gloomy conditions and hostile fauna made fighting difficult, and General Pong Krell betrayed the Republic. Krell manipulated the 212th Attack Battalion and 501st Legion into battling each other, resulting in the death of veteran clones by friendly fire.

  • After the peaceful planet of Kiros fell silent, a team of Jedi and clones discovered the planet’s people had been carried off by Zygerrian slavers. Cody brought a disturbing message from the Separatist commander – if Obi-Wan didn’t surrender, Separatist bombs planted throughout the city would detonate.

  • After Hondo Ohnaka’s pirates captured Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan and Cody rushed to the aid of the Jedi younglings Ahsoka had been escorting. But General Grievous had other plans. He attacked Obi-Wan’s task force, requiring the Jedi General and Cody to engineer a quick getaway. The younglings’ rescue would have to wait.

  • In the final days of the war, the Republic received word that General Grievous was hiding on Utapau. Cody and his forces waited in orbit while Obi-Wan investigated the situation, verifying that Grievous was there. The Jedi gave the signal for Cody to join the fight, then confronted Grievous as Cody led his soldiers into battle against a variety of Separatist droids.

  • During the Battle of Utapau, Cody received Order 66, the directive to kill the Jedi, via an encrypted transmission from Darth Sidious. Obeying his clone indoctrination, Cody ordered his troops to open fire on his longtime Jedi General and friend.

    Clone Captain Rex

Rex once served the Republic on the frontlines during the Clone Wars, taking orders from Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano as first a captain and later a commander. He viewed military service as an honor, and his loyalty to the Republic and his Jedi Generals was absolute. But when Order 66 was executed, it was Ahsoka who helped to free Rex from the programming of his inhibitor chip. At the dawn of the Empire, Rex has escaped with his life but is considered killed-in-action in the eyes of the new regime. That allows him to operate in the shadows and help any clone brothers who remain separate from the Imperial ranks.

    Clone Troopers

At the time of their introduction, the Republic clone troopers represented the future of galactic warfare. Far superior to battle droids, the clone troopers formed the backbone of the Republic's new military that waged war against the forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. So symbolic were they of the times, the galaxy-wide conflict that saw their debut took its name from their ranks: the Clone Wars.

    Kamino

Once purged from the otherwise complete Jedi Archives was all evidence of the mysterious world of Kamino. A lonely world beyond the Outer Rim and just south of the Rishi Maze, few could have predicted that Kamino would become a key contributor to a massive shift in political power in the final days of the Republic. Kamino is a planet of endless oceans and storms. Few features mark its surface, save for massive stilt-mounted cities wherein reside the planet's natural inhabitants, the Kaminoans. From Tipoca City, the planet's prime minister rules. Lama Su and Kamino’s chief medical scientist Nala Se closely monitor the operations of Kamino's most prized export -- clones -- even after the Clone Wars reaches a conclusion.

    Christophsis

A beautiful jewel of a world with immense crystalline formations, Christophsis was the site of repeated and heated battles in the Clone Wars. A blockade of Separatist vessels trapped a Senate relief mission behind enemy lines, necessitating a special Republic task force with experimental starship technology to scatter the blockade. This precipitated a full scale Separatist invasion of the planet, made possible by a traitor within the clone trooper ranks. In the end, the Republic was able to turn the Separatist invasion, and guard the planet from future incursions.

Ringed by numerous moons, the remote sanctuary of Utapau is a planet pitted with enormous sinkholes. Its windswept surface is dry and desert-like, but deep in the porous crust, at the bottom of the sinkholes are pools of life-giving water. Many of the sinkholes on one of the planet's small continents are lined with intricate cities that stretch deep into caves and crevices beneath the planet's surface, as well as mining operations that seek to uncover valuable minerals from the planet's depths.
