As the chairman of the Pantoran Assembly, Chi Cho, was an arrogant and ruthless leader who had no interest in seeking peaceful solutions to his problems. Hoping to use the Jedi as an instrument of blunt force to take back the planet of Orto Plutonia back for the Pantorans, Cho and the Jedi accompanying him (including Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker) find nothing more than a deserted Separatist base. When it was discovered that a primitive group of Talz had claimed the moon for themselves, Cho almost single-handedly declares war against them and charges into an ill-conceived battle. He met his death at the end of a Talz’ spear.

Once a young and idealistic representative to Pantora in the Republic's Galactic Senate, Riyo Chuchi overcame her timidity, growing into a strong leader who once forced the Trade Federation into lifting a blockade over her home planet. After the rise of the Empire, Chuchi continues to uphold her beliefs in a fair and just government, forming an alliance with Bail Organa of Alderaan. When she learns that the devastation on Kamino was caused by Imperial fire, she will risk everything to expose the traitorous Vice Admiral Rampart on the senate floor.

Ice world in the Pantoran system that is home to the Talz.

Orto Plutonia had long been a protectorate of the Pantoran moon, after Pantoran scouts searched the world and found no denizens amid its frozen features. They had missed the Talz population, which lived hidden in the ice canyons in villages carved out of the ice walls, filled with huts made from animal skins pulled over bone-frames. The Talz lived a simple existence, somehow subsisting off the harsh environment, and using the native narglatch cats as mounts and protection. The Talz attacked the newcomers to their world, wiping out both Republic and Separatist outposts during the Clone Wars.

C-3PO longs for more peaceful times, but his continued service to the Resistance — and his knowledge of more than seven million forms of communication — keeps the worry-prone droid in the frontlines of galactic conflict. Programmed for etiquette and protocol, Threepio was built by a young Anakin Skywalker, and has been a constant companion to astromech R2-D2. Over the years, he was involved in some of the galaxy’s most defining moments and thrilling battles. Since the Empire’s defeat, C-3PO has served Leia Organa, head of a Resistance spy ring aimed at undermining the First Order.

Pantora is the principal moon of the Pantora system, orbiting the ice planet Orto Plutonia. A member of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars, Riyo Chuchi represented Pantora in the Senate while Baron Papanoida served as the Chairman of Pantora after succeeding Chi Cho. At the start of the age of the Empire, the marshy Outer Rim world struggles to maintain its business and industry under the new regime, with outposts like Ro Station falling into disrepair. However, in the streets the citizens rejoice over the end of the long and deadly war.
