GA-97 looks much the same as every other servant droid found at Maz’s castle on Takodana, but the battered automaton is actually part of the galaxy-wide network of droids secretly serving the Resistance. After spotting BB-8, GA-7 swiftly reported this discovery to C-3PO on D’Qar. Resistance starfighters and troops then raced to Takodana, desperate to beat the First Order to the site of the signal.
