The wedge-shaped Imperial Star Destroyer is a capital ship bristling with weapons emplacements. Turbolasers and tractor beam projectors dot its surface. Its belly hangar bay can launch TIE fighters, boarding craft, land assault units, hyperspace probes, or be used to hold captured craft. In the days of the Empire, its bustling bridge would be staffed by the finest crewers in the Imperial starfleet. Its presence in a system mark matters of extreme Imperial import. Though, as is typical of the Empire, not even the Star Destroyer was enough to sate the Imperial hunger for displays of power. Larger vessels, such as the Super Star Destroyer, dwarf even these giants.
On the surface, a meek protocol droid. Underneath, a deadly assassin. E-XD infiltrator droids were used by the Empire to sweep Outer Rim worlds for rebel bases, and changed forms from standard robotic humanoid into towering, quick fighters. They were outfitted with an anti-capture failsafe -- an inner proton warhead that would detonate upon capture -- making them doubly dangerous.
Chopper was the resident droid of the Ghost, assisting the crew in everything from ship maintenance to combat -- even though he didn't always want to. After many years of repairs and patch jobs, Chopper had a beat-up, worn look that matched his sometimes cranky personality. Aesthetics aside, he was an essential part of this small rebel team, and ultimately, was loyal and heroic.
Proud and honorable, AP-5 was a droid that served as a navigator for the Republic military during the Clone Wars. Following the formation of the Empire, however, he was reassigned to inventory. While the position did not take advantage of his gifts, he performed his duties without complaint -- despite threats and disrespect from his Imperial commanders. It was only after a fateful meeting with the rebel astromech Chopper that AP-5 came to see he did not have to serve the Empire. He helped Chopper escape capture and defected to the rebels, helping find a safe haven away from Imperial forces.
When Governor Pryce of Lothal wanted a stronger commander to dismantle the rebellion, the Empire answered with Grand Admiral Thrawn. Thrawn was a male Chiss, with striking blue skin, red eyes, and an angular face, known for his brilliant strategic mind and ruthlessness. He was determined to “pull the rebels apart piece by piece.”
