    Lothal Imperial Factory

The Lothal Imperial Factory was a byproduct of the Empire's increased presence on the Outer Rim world. The operation utilized citizens as laborers and drew the attention of Grand Admiral Thrawn following reports of poor engineering. It was here that the rebels Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger stole the Empire's plans for a new model TIE fighter -- the TIE defender -- equipped with shields, thanks to the informant, Agent Kallus.

    Grand Admiral Thrawn

The last unaccounted for Grand Admiral of the Imperial Navy, Thrawn is a brilliant strategist as ruthless as he is cunning. When the Empire needed a strong commander to dismantle the rebellion on Lothal, they called upon Thrawn, known for studying his enemies — including their art and culture — to gain tactical advantages often overlooked by his peers. Exiled into parts unknown with the Jedi and rebel Ezra Bridger during the Battle of Lothal, should he return to the galaxy, Thrawn has the potential to plunge the New Republic into war once again.

    Morad Sumar

Morad Sumar was a farmer from Kothar, Lothal, who would often sell his produce in the local marketplace. The Empire, continually expanding its presence on Lothal, pressured Morad to sell his land. He refused, and in retaliation, Imperials destroyed Morad's homestead and arrested his family. When all hope seemed lost, Ezra Bridger and Zeb Orrelios came to the rescue...with the help of a stolen TIE fighter.

    Kanan Jarrus / Caleb Dume

Not every Jedi perished in Order 66. Once known by the name Caleb Dume, Kanan Jarrus survived the Emperor’s purge, going underground for years and hiding the truth about who he really was. To keep his past a secret, Kanan carried a blaster -- an uncommon practice for a Jedi -- and used a lightsaber that had to be assembled. In the years leading up to the galactic civil war, he was a leader among the Ghost crew, a small group of rebels looking to strike back against the Empire, and with the emergence of the Force-sensitive Ezra, once again embraced his identity as a Jedi Knight.

    Ezra Bridger

One of the few to be trained as a Jedi after the fall of the Republic, Ezra Bridger grew up an orphan on the streets of Lothal during the age of the Empire. Although he had learned to be wary of strangers, his introduction to the Ghost crew, a small band of rebels fighting back against the Imperial regime, changed his outlook and his future. Training in the ways of the Force under the mentorship of Kanan Jarrus, Ezra became a Jedi Padawan and a part of the emerging rebellion. He also grew close to Hera Syndulla, Zeb, Chopper, and Sabine Wren, who was like a sister in his new found family. After several years together, Bridger vanished during the Battle of Lothal, disappearing into parts unknown in a hyperspace jump that pulled Ezra and Grand Admiral Thrawn into deep space.

    Lothal

Lothal is a diverse planet, with both farmland and a city center. During the age of the Empire, it fell under Imperial occupation, as farmers were kicked off their land and enormous TIE fighter and weapons factories were built. While most of the population felt powerless in the face of Imperial rule, a select few dared to fight back.

    Lothal Speeder Bike

One-man vehicles designed for speed, Lothal Speeder Bikes featured a white color scheme and were outfitted with forward blaster cannons. Cargo could be attached to the rear of the hovering vehicles and moved quickly, though the real value of Imperial Speeder Bikes came from their ability to chase suspected rebels or suspects.
