    MagnaGuards

These implacable droids guarded key Separatist leaders and proved tough opponents for the Jedi Knights, striking with their deadly electostaffs. MagnaGuards could keep fighting even after losing limbs or heads, and many bore the scars of previous battles.

  • General Grievous

    default

    General Grievous

General Grievous was a brilliant Separatist military strategist and a feared Jedi hunter, known for his ruthlessness and hacking cough. His body itself was a weapon, allowing him lightning quick strikes and devastating blows. But he was also quick to run from a fight, a tactic that worked until one final meeting with Obi-Wan Kenobi.

  • Confederacy of Independent Systems

    default

    Confederacy of Independent Systems

The Confederacy of Independent Systems, also known as the Separatist Alliance, was a collection of star systems and corporate titans that left the Republic and fought for independence against the Republic’s clone armies and Jedi Knights. The charismatic former Jedi Count Dooku was the Alliance’s political leader, while its military power came from credits and assets donated by powerful galactic trade groups. No one suspected that the Alliance was actually a tool of Darth Sidious, who had engineered the Clone Wars as part of a Sith plot to rule the galaxy.

  • Separatist Dreadnought

    default

    Separatist Dreadnought

One of the biggest ships of the Separatist fleet, the dreadnought's power is enough to hold a blockade almost by itself. A roughly cylindrical warship, the cruiser's surface was dotted with heavy weapons capable of piercing through the shields and hulls of enemy vessels. The bridge of the cruiser was located on a platform resting atop the bow of the vessel. Towards the aft end of the craft was a towering fin-like spire that rose from the rest of the hull. Within this spire were the General's Quarters, a command center with tactical displays, briefing table, and an observation deck with a view of surrounding space.

  • Eeth Koth

    default

    Eeth Koth

Eeth Koth was a member of the Jedi High Council in the final years of the order. From within the polished towers of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, the Council governed the actions of the Jedi Knights. Koth was one of the 12 Jedi present when Qui-Gon Jinn presented Anakin Skywalker as the Chosen One to the Council. A determined warrior with a deep, spiritual connection to the Force, Koth resisted torture at the hands of General Grievous during the Clone Wars, and was even able to secretly communicate his location to the Jedi Council. Koth was saved from Separatist clutches by the daring efforts of his fellow Jedi.

  • Electrostaff

    default

    Electrostaff

These mechanically complicated, double-ended electrostaffs were designed to repel lightsaber strikes. They conducted electricity that could block the Jedi blades and were able to incapacitate organic beings of most physiologies. They were the chief weapon of the Magnaguards that protected General Grievous during his terrorization of the galaxy during the Clone Wars. Electrostaffs were also used as a tool for catching joopa beneath the surface of the planet Seelos by sending bolts of energy along a laser line.

  • Battle Droid

    default

    Battle Droid

Rather than use flesh-and-blood warriors, the Separatists prefer mindlessly loyal soldiers that are easily controlled. The soulless ranks of their armies are dominated by tall, thin B1 battle droids built as mechanical imitations of their Geonosian designers. Battle droids can be controlled by centralized command centers such as the Trade Federation’s enormous Droid Control Ships, or programmed for independent action. They often suffer programming glitches that manifest as personality quirks. Battle droids are dim-witted and no match for clone troopers or Jedi, but they weren’t designed to be smart – they were designed to overwhelm Republic civilians through sheer numbers, something they do very effectively.
