A volcanic world in the Mid Rim, Luunata is a planet of dramatic contrasts: jagged mountain peaks give way to alluvial terraces, which descend in turn to broad floodplains below. House Mordant of Shu-Torun established a mining citadel there to harvest the planet's rich kalkite seams. When the Separatists conquered Luunata early in the Clone Wars, Ore-Baroness Jae Mordant pleaded her case before the Galactic Senate, but failed to rally enough support for a Republic intervention.
