Powerful yet graceful quadrupeds standing three meters high at the shoulder, fathiers can achieve speeds of 75 kilometers per hour for short distances. Fathier races are glitzy affairs in Canto Bight, but few spectators understand the toll the sport takes on these noble animals. Many fathiers live miserable lives, abused by jockeys and trapped in cramped stables.

Temiri Blagg leads a forlorn existence in the shadows of Canto Bight’s wealth, caring for fathiers in stables ruled by the iron-fisted groom Bargwill Tomder. Temiri dreams of a better life somewhere among the stars. When two desperate Resistance fighters cross his path, he must make a crucial choice.

Fortunes in Cantocoins are won and lost nightly at the casino, a place of soaring dreams and crashing disappointments.
