An active rebel during the age of the Empire, Ryder Azadi returns to his post as governor of Lothal after the New Republic comes to power. When the Empire came to his planet, he stood against Imperial tyranny with Ezra Bridger’s family, and was accused of treason for doing so. He was later freed from an Imperial prison by the Bridgers and returned to Lothal, living in the city outskirts.
Once a standout cadet at the Imperial Academy, as a young man Jai Kell deserted the Empire and worked for the rebel faction on Lothal. In the years that followed, Kell remained loyal to Ezra Bridger, who helped him evade Imperial detection, returning the favor when Bridger and his friends were in trouble. And after the fall of the Empire, Kell serves as a senator representing his homeworld in the New Republic government.
After the Empire discovered that Old Jho -- owner of the popular Old Jho's Pit Stop cantina -- was aiding rebels, they arrested and executed him. The Empire assumed ownership of the watering hole, placing it under the stewardship of Valen Rudor. There, Rudor once again encountered the rebels. He led a hunt for Ezra Bridger and his friends through the city's underground tunnels, but was unable to apprehend them.
Located in a Lothal spaceport, Old Jho's Pit Stop is a popular cantina for locals and travelers alike.
Jalath is a city on Lothal and home to an Imperial facility, erected after the Empire's occupation of the planet. The installation is often a target of the Ghost crew of rebels.
Once a leader of the Broken Horn crime syndicate on Lothal, Cikatro Vizago changed his ways (mostly) and now serves as captain of the Rebellion's stolen ore crawler.
