    Sienar Fleet Systems

One of the Empire’s foremost military manufacturers, Sienar Fleet Systems developed and built the TIE fighter and its variants, as well as technologies such as the XX-23 S-thread tracker. With the Empire expanding rapidly and seeking to tighten its grip on the galaxy’s planets, Sienar aggressively sought new sites for its factories, building several on the Outer Rim world of Lothal.

The iconic TIE fighter led to other models in the TIE family including the dagger-shaped TIE Interceptor and the explosive-laden TIE bomber. It was housed in a missle-like shell, allowing the XX-23 S-Thread to be fired at craft from long distances or during chases. The Inquisitor's TIE Advanced fighter was outfitted with the technology, which he used to tag the Ghost starship.

Lothal is a diverse planet, with both farmland and a city center. While most of the population felt powerless in the face of Imperial rule, a select few dared to fight back.

After the Empire discovered that Old Jho -- owner of the popular Old Jho's Pit Stop cantina -- was aiding rebels, they arrested and executed him. The Empire assumed ownership of the watering hole, placing it under the stewardship of Valen Rudor. There, Rudor once again encountered the rebels. He led a hunt for Ezra Bridger and his friends through the city's underground tunnels, but was unable to apprehend them.
