On the distant planet of Yerbana, Commander Cody leads Republic forces against the Separatists, but is in desparate need of reinforcements. Finally, backup arrives...in the form of Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker.
-
Skywalker, in an effort to draw out the tactical droid, pretends to surrender -- and then, with the power of the Force, astonishingly pulls the Separatist commander to his lightsaber blade.
-
Meanwhile, Rex and the 501st, hiding beneath the bridge, join the fight! Taking to the skies with their jetpacks, the Jedi and clones turn the tide of battle. But Admiral Yularen surprisingly calls the Jedi back to the command ship, as a transmission from a "Fulcrum" has come in, and it demands their attention.
-
As they enter the bridge, Anakin is shocked to see that the transmission is from Ahsoka Tano, joined by Bo-Katan Kryze. Tano has little time for pleasantries, and informs her old friends that they have located Maul, renegade Sith Lord.
-
Ahsoka and Bo-Katan soon arrive to discuss matters in person. Maul is on Mandalore in the city of Sundari, but Bo-Katan doesn't have the numbers for a siege. She needs the help of the Republic. Obi-Wan is wary, and will not immediately commit clones to the cause, saying he will advise the Jedi Council of the development. This angers Bo-Katan, but Kenobi is resolute.
-
Meanwhile, Anakin and Ahsoka walk the corridors of the ship. As they do, the clones salute Ahsoka. "It's a sign of respect," Anakin tells her. They finally arrive in the barracks of the 501st to find an entire company, Rex included, waiting, with helmets decorated in her image. Anakin starts to present Ahsoka with a gift when, suddenly, alarms sound.
-
Obi-Wan races into the room. They're jumping to hyperspace immediately, only not to Mandalore -- but instead to Coruscant, as the Separatists have attacked the capital! Even though the matter is grave, Ahsoka is incredulous, and cannot believe they won't help her. "This is why the people have lost faith in the Jedi," she says.
-
Anakin proposes they divide the 501st, with a new division serving under Rex and Tano. Kenobi agrees, and Anakin finally presents his gift to his former Padawan...
-
...her old lightsabers, now with blue blades. "I took care of them," Anakin says. "They're good as new." The two friends say their goodbyes.
-
On the way to Mandalore, Prime Minister Almec contacts the Republic, and Bo-Katan won't bow to him. "We know you're Maul's puppet," she says. "And we're coming for him." Almec readies his forces, informing Gar Saxon to prepare for an all-out attack.
-
The clash begins! Republic gunships and Mandalorians soar through the air in battle, while Ahsoka leaps from ship to ship, taking out enemy forces on the way to the surface.
-
The Republic and Bo-Katan's Mandalorians start their ground assault, driving Almec's warriors inward.
-
The battle is going well, but there's still no sign of Maul. And they cannot let him escape if he is on Mandalore. Finally, Rex receives word that some of his troops may have found something. Deep in Mandalore's undercity, Captain Vaughn says that Gar Saxon disappeared into the tunnels. "Let's move in," Ahsoka says.
-
Meanwhile, Bo-Katan reaches the throne room! With expert skill she quickly defeats Almec, demanding to know the location of Maul. "He wanted you to bring the Jedi here," Almec says. "But you brought the wrong one." Bo-Katan immediately contacts Ahsoka, trying to tell her that she's walking into a trap, but Tano is too deep underground.
-
Maul's loyal Mandalorians track Ahsoka and the clones in the tunnels -- before finally launching a surprise attack. One by one they pick off the soldiers, leaving Tano alone and, ultimately, surrounded. Then, she hears the cold clack of metallic footsteps.
-
It is Maul. "I was hoping for Kenobi," he says coldly. "Why are you here?"
