They kept a steady supply of the illicit substances funneling into the stores of some of the most influential crime families operating in the lower levels of Coruscant. From their well-guarded stronghold on Oba Diah, the Pykes oversaw the distribution of fresh narcotic spice harvested by slaves on Kessel. The Pykes relied on smugglers and unscrupulous freighter captains to pull off foolhardy Kessel Runs to deliver their prize to customers.
A deadly, agile Sith Lord trained by the evil Darth Sidious, Darth Maul was a formidable warrior and scheming mastermind. He wielded an intimidating double-bladed lightsaber and fought with a menacing ferocity. Though he fell in battle against Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Zabrak from Dathomir would prove to be much harder to destroy than originally believed.
His gruff demeanor and devilish grin indicated Ziton Moj relished how well-protected he was by the power of criminal influence. A bully to his very marrow, Moj was a leg-breaking lieutenant for the Black Sun criminal syndicate during the Clone Wars. Never one to be intimidated, he was also pragmatic enough to avoid fights he couldn't win. This level-headedness served him well when Darth Maul usurped control of Black Sun, and installed Ziton as leader, replacing the decapitated ruling council.
Once a glorious world, the surface of Mandalore has been laid waste by centuries of war. Its people now live peacefully in massive bio-cubes across the planet's golden sand. Under the leadership of Duchess Satine Kryze, Mandalore has turned its back on its violent history. There is still an undercurrent of Mandalore's more martial past, however, and Death Watch has emerged as a painful reminder of Mandalore's warlike ways.
