Meanwhile, the Inquisitors arrive, once again tracking the Jedi.

Inside, Ahsoka and Ezra discuss Master Yoda. The Togruta claims that when she was young, Yoda seemed happier. "As the Clone War dragged on, he carried a great burden. A deep sorrow. As if he knew before anyone else that one time was ending, and another beginning." With that, Ezra vanishes...

...and appears in a great starfield, opposite Master Yoda. Unlike their last encounter, he can now see the ancient being. "Growing your abilities are," Yoda says, "and with them...danger."

Kanan and the Temple Guard continue their battle. "Is this the limit of your knowledge?" the masked warrior asks.

The Guard's attack never-ending, Kanan reaches for an additional weapon. "You will never be strong enough to save your pupil," the Guard says. "And you will perish for your failure." At that moment, two more Temple Guards join the fight.

Ahsoka, still meditating, hears a voice. It is familiar. It calls to her. It is Anakin. "Ahsoka, why did you leave?" he asks. His tone grows dark. Angry.

"You were selfish," he says. "You abandoned me. You failed me! Do you know what I've become...?"

His image changes to that of his new self, Darth Vader, and Ahsoka screams.

Ezra continues his talk with Master Yoda. He asks how they can destroy Vader and his Inquisitors. Yoda tells Ezra of the end of the Jedi, and how the Clone War warped who they were. But is it wrong to fight for your friends? Yoda says that he was consumed by fear through fighting. "A challenge life-long it is, not to bend fear into anger," Yoda says.

Then, dust and rock begin to fall around them...

The Inquisitors are raising the Temple.

Kanan's battle rages on, but he is beaten, and the walls are crumbling. "You cannot fight forever," the Temple Guard says. Finally, Kanan acknowledges the truth, and deactivates his lightsaber. He can't protect Ezra forever. All he can do is train him the best he can.

The Guard raises his weapon, one last time...

...and knights Kanan. He is now a Jedi. The Temple Guard removes his mask, revealing himself to be the Grand Inquisitor. "You are now what I once was," the Grand Inquisitor says. "A Knight of the Jedi Order." He tells Kanan to go, and he will delay the enemy.

Ezra, still talking with Yoda, reiterates the rebels are going to fight. This troubles the old Master, and leaves the Padawan with one last instruction: find Malachor.

The Inquisitors are inside, ready to strike. But when the Grand Inquisitor appears before them, they are dumbfounded.

The Grand Inquisitor closes in, flanked by other Guardsmen, and delivers blows upon the dark side warriors. They vanish in a flash of white light.

As the Temple rumbles, the Jedi make their escape. Ahsoka stops a moment, however. Looking back, she sees her old friend, Yoda. He smiles and waves, and Ahsoka smiles back before following Kanan and Ezra.

The three make it back to the Phantom, and Ezra relays Yoda's message. "Who's Malachor?" he asks. "Malachor isn't a person," Ahsoka replies. "It's a place."

While the Jedi are safe, the Temple is lost, now in the hands of the Empire and the Sith. "My Master will be most pleased with this discovery," Vader says.

The Fifth Brother informs the Sith Lord that the Jedi are growing in their power. "It will be their undoing," Vader coldly replies.
