As the Mining Guild was in league with the Empire, its forces were granted certain Imperial weaponry and craft, including TIE fighters. Mining Guild TIE fighters, however, had a distinct yellow color scheme, clearly delineating that they were not in direct service of the Empire. They also had a notch cut in their stabilizers, allowing for improved visibility, but making them lackluster when it came to combat.
In league with the Empire, Yushyn operated a Mining Guild facility on a planetoid in the far reaches of space. He harvested a specific type of gas, which also attracted the massive purrgil creatures, and Yushyn coldly ordered his men to kill any beast that approached his refinery. Fate would bring the Ghost crew to his outpost, too, however. The rebels stole Yushyn’s fuel and saved the purrgil; in turn, one of the great animals grabbed Yushyn in its jaws and dragged him into the planetoid’s depths.
Built on a small planetoid, the Asteroid Belt Gas Refinery operated in league with the Empire. Mining boss Yushyn led the operation with an unrelenting fervor; when massive purrgil creatures would come near the gas, he ordered his men to destroy them. Ultimately, the Ghost crew found the facility, stole its fuel for the rebellion, saved the purrgil, and destroyed the complex.
Massive, whale-like creatures, purrgil lived not on land or sea, but in space, and were the stuff of legend for the galaxy’s smugglers and pilots. They were often a bluish purple color and moved gracefully thanks to four large hind tentacles, along with two side fins and a dorsal fin. Purrgil required a specific green gas in order to breathe, which allowed them to travel great distances through the space. While very few have seen it, purrgil had the ability to travel through hyperspace.
