Here's a look at some of the new cards completed by Star Wars artist Tom Hodges.
"This particular set is a 'last dance' for me when it comes to sketch cards, so I went out of my way to make all the cards mean something," Hodges explains. "I did a small series from each film, a small batch of Expanded Universe cards with the core 100 sketch cards for retailers and for my 25 Target exclusive cards were all Sith lords. You'll likely see printed card arts from me in future Star Wars sets, but this was my last turn in the sketch card medium. It's a great place to break into the business as a professional artist and it's time I move aside and make room for someone new."
"I tend to have a liking for the clones, Boba Fett and Darth Vader," Hodges says. "I enjoy all the characters and love Star Wars, but I've always loved stormtroopers, clones and 'helmet' characters."
"I hope that those folks who have collected my sketch cards over the years enjoy them," Hodges says. "I'll always remember the late nights working on those earlier sets -- Heritage and Episode III -- where I was drawing 2,000 cards per set, hand cramping, dark circles under my eyes from lack of sleep."
Star Wars Galaxy IV are already available primarily in hobby and comic shops.
