Here's a look at some of the new cards completed by Star Wars artist Grant Gould.
"I was a huge fan of the first three Galaxy card sets," Gould says. I remember geeking out over all the cool illustrations, seeing some of my favorite characters in a new light. If you were to tell me back then that I would be contributing to a Galaxy set someday, I would've called you a nut and laughed, and then cried. But seriously, it's a tremendous honor to be among the artists on Galaxy. It's far and away the set I've been most looking forward to and the set I've been most anxious to be a part of. I consider this the highlight of my 'trading card' art career."
In addition to the 100 sketch cards that Gould drew, he was also asked to create one of the base cards (one of the printed regular cards) for the set. "It's one of my proudest geek achievements thus far," Gould says. "Anyone who loves art -- whether it's trading cards or comic books or just Star Wars art in general -- will absolutely love this set. It features some of the most talented folks working in the industry today, both new faces and well-known pros. I'm just blown away by what I've seen. I'm flattered beyond words to be part of it."
Star Wars Galaxy IV are already available primarily in hobby and comic shops.
