Star Wars fans just got a few more items to add to the vast array of customizable collectibles and apparel, courtesy of StarWarsShop's continued partnership with Zazzle!
Now at StarWarsShop, you can find a brand new series of customizable Star Wars shoes, skateboards and ties that use some of the great imagery fans have used for creating custom t-shirts, posters, mugs and more!
We asked Zazzle's VP of Marketing Jason Kang a few questions about the new customizable Star Wars products, which you can check out now over at StarWarsShop:
Customized Star Wars shoes seem to be treading some new ground -- are custom shoes something new to Zazzle?
Zazzle launched custom shoes late last year with our partner KEDs and is the only place to get completely custom shoes where almost every facet of the shoe can be embellished with graphics.
Can you discuss the two types of shoes available, and will other styles become available at some point?
We currently offer women's and kids KEDs shoes. We are hoping to have men's shoes available very soon.
With all the variations available in your customized Star Wars skateboard line, you know you're going to drive the collectors crazy, don't you?
Well, the founders, Jeff, Bobby and Robert set out to empower both individuals and brands with on-demand manufacturing, which can enable an unlimited number designs on t-shirts, posters, or even USPS postage (which has an even longer heritage of collectors). We hope that like many stamp collectors did when Zazzle launched custom postage, Starwars collectors can embrace the amazing variety and customization available to them.
The deck bottoms are illustrated -- anything on the top?
No illustration on the top, just the rider (if it's a skateboard). Note that these boards also make amazing wall art to hang. Zazzle's board room has a whole row of them decorating and celebrating the best art on Zazzle.
The new Clone Wars series would look great on both the shoes and skateboards. Any plans to add some Clone Wars imagery to these lines anytime soon?
Zazzle has an extensive Clone Wars offering available through the Zazzle's Clone Wars site. And yes, the skateboards there DO look great! We also have plans to add some of this amazing Clone Wars content to shoes soon so stay tuned.
