In case you haven't already heard, legendary game title Monkey Island is getting a Special Edition release later this summer, bringing back the adventures of Guybrush Threepwood and his epic battle against the evil ghost pirate LeChuck!
StarWarsShop recently posted a handful of cool Monkey Island collectibles with the game's announcement, and now wants to share something they've currently got in the works for the actual release of Monkey Island later this summer.
Working with Symbiote Studios, StarWarsShop has commissioned an exclusive polyresin statue of Guybrush battling LeChuck in one of the game's final sequences. Here's the description of the depicted scene from Shop:
"It's essentially the last 'battle' in the game, where LeChuck is punching Guybrush so far that he flies into different locations previously visited in the game, only to have LeChuck appear there to punch him again. That process goes on until they land at Stan's Used Ship Emporium where Guybrush sprays LeChuck with rootbeer, which he previously found out is a magic ghost-fighting elixir."
The 10-inch tall statue, shown here in its unfinished polyresin state, will be full color and packaged in a stunning illustrated box. There will be under 1,000 made worldwide.
