Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Season 2, Episode 4 //
Senate Spy Episode Guide
Discovered as a slave on Tatooine by Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker had the potential to become one of the most powerful Jedi ever, and was believed by some to be the prophesied Chosen One who would bring balance to the Force. A hero of the Clone Wars, Anakin was caring and compassionate, but also had a fear of loss that would prove to be his downfall.
Padmé Amidala was a courageous, hopeful leader, serving as Queen and then Senator of Naboo -- and was also handy with a blaster. Despite her ideals and all she did for the cause of peace, her secret, forbidden marriage to Jedi Anakin Skywalker would prove to have dire consequences for the galaxy.
C-3PO is a droid programmed for etiquette and protocol, built by the heroic Jedi Anakin Skywalker, and a constant companion to astromech R2-D2. Over the years, he was involved in some of the galaxy’s most defining moments and thrilling battles -- and is fluent in over six million forms of communication.
A Senator from Scipio, Rush worked closely with Senator Padmé Amidala early in her career. The two were romantically linked, until she insisted they return their relationship to a strictly professional level. With regret, Clovis respected her wishes. He continued to serve his people in the Senate, and became an influential representative of the InterGalactic Banking Clan. When the Clone Wars erupted, many in the Senate and Jedi Order suspected Rush's loyalty to the Republic. It was believed that the Banking Clan was secretly funding the Separatists.
To hear Lott Dod tell it, the actions of Nute Gunray did not reflect the true intents of the Trade Federation, which remained loyal to the Galactic Republic. Sure, the Separatist Alliance did use Trade Federation starships and battle droids as part of their fighting forces in the Clone Wars, but this was equipment legitimately purchased in the open market. The Trade Federation was committed to commerce across the entire galaxy, and had no interest in getting caught up in territorial wars, Dodd would say. In truth, the Senator received a healthy income to ensure both sides of the war stay well equipped.
A weathly Neimoidian colony world, Cato Neimoidia's jewelled palaces and opulent bridge-cities were the pride and joy of Trade Federation barons, who sought constantly to one-up each other and dazzle guests with displays of ostentatious hospitality and luxury living.
