New Clone Wars Web Comic Tells Original Tale

The online web comics for Season One of The Clone Wars proved extremely popular among StarWars.com readers, so a return of the series to accompany Season Two was expected. However, this time, the new storyline will take readers along a different path than last year.

The Clone Wars: Act on Instinct is an original tale featuring original characters that occurs during the events of Season Two. Unlike the Season One web comics, these installments are not meant as small lead-ins directly tied into that week's episode. Act on Instinct is instead its own ongoing story that will on occasion weave into the narrative of the television series. This allows for a longer story to develop, and for new characters to grow.

Key among the new faces in Act on Instinct is Padawan Tyzen Xebec, a young Zabrak boy who is apprenticed to the Jedi Master Bolla Ropal. Also showcased is a new clone trooper, Clone Commander Ganch. Familiar faces from the television series, such as Cad Bane, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and Kit Fisto will also appear.

Act on Instinct is currently slated to update weekly to accompany new episodes of The Clone Wars. Written by Pablo Hidalgo, it will feature a team of rotating artists, including Thomas Hodges, Grant Gould, Jeff Carlisle, and Daniel Falconer. The first installment is illustrated by Hodges.
