  • Laying Out Jedi

This one’s going to be short, as I’m on little sleep these days. Mornings and weekends, I continue to do the book map of The Making of Return of the Jedi, and am up to the ILM chapters. I’m really trying to use photos as large as I can. I feel that The Making of The Empire Strikes Back had too many photos on a page and the result was, often, a lot of clutter. Some of these photos for Return of the Jedi are so great, I want readers to be able to dive into them: George Lucas and […]

  • The Star Wars Uncut Saga Continues…

In 2009, we started Star Wars Uncut with little more than a big dream of getting fans involved in the Star Wars story. Turns out that dream got a lot of people excited. We had thousands of participants—young, old, animated, and furry. It was a lot of learning on the fly, as we figured out how to bring the new concept to life alongside our awesome contributors. A New Hope Uncut was born out of our collective labor of love and the best part was seeing what we could all do together.

  • DIY: Yoda Coffee Cup Cozy

I’ll admit it…I’m a coffee lover.  Whether it’s a Dark Side Roast or a Coruscant Blend, I always look forward to my cup of caffeinated bliss.  In fact, I quickly turn from Jedi to Sith if I don’t have my usual morning cup o’ Joe.  But sometimes my local coffee shop makes my latte hotter than Mustafar!  So in order to cool my hands and show a little Star Wars flair, I decided to make a reusable coffee cup cozy.  I think this eco-friendly Yoda cozy is a great way to go “green.”  (In more ways than one!)

Many of you have already seen snippets of my video diary from Star Wars Celebration VI right here on the blog, but as promised, I am excited to share with you my final video diary from the entire event! With over 20 minutes of brand new footage, I take you with me behind the scenes and show you what happened from my point of view. I’m definitely a visual person and I’ve never been good at keeping a written diary, so I grabbed my camera and decided to capture the event documentary-style for everyone to see! You’ll go with me […]

  • Star Wars Celebration Blues

The time leading up to each Star Wars Celebration is an incredible adrenaline buzz, for me and I’m sure for hundreds of other people who are involved in the show – getting ready for the stages, finishing their fan exhibit, or completing their costume for the masquerade. There is so much to do that it’s the main focus of life – of my life certainly.

  • Chronicling The Clone Wars

Without a doubt, the most often asked question I’ve been asked since The Clone Wars started four years ago is, “How does The Clone Wars fit into the existing Expanded Universe Clone Wars timeline?” The first seasons of The Clone Wars were peculiar in that episodes didn’t air in chronological order.  You would have episodes in Seasons 2 and 3 that were actually prequels to episodes in Season 1.   Here are a few of my notes regarding the timeline to help sort things out.
