Orphne
Subterranean Trickster
Details
Description
Dwelling deep beneath the surface of Aleen is a strange being known as Orphne. Of reptilian descent with a quick tongue and a clever wit, Orphne knows of the delicate balance that must be maintained between the surface and subsurface worlds. The nymph was witness to the upsetting of this balance when a passage between both worlds was inadvertently breached, which resulted in tumultuous ground quakes shaking the planet.
Relationships
Kindalo
The creaky-limbed Kindalo are neighbors to Orphne, living in the Aleen underworld unknown to the surface-dwellers. The Kindalo act as guardians of the depths, blocking passage of intruders from above. Recognizing that R2-D2 and C-3PO were no threat, the Kindalo allowed them to continue on their subterranean trek and meet Orphne.
Aleen
The planet Aleen contains a great many secrets. It is two worlds -- a surface occupied by the tiny Aleena, and a subsurface world of multiple cultures. Orphne is wise to the ways of Aleen, and understands the importance of keeping both worlds apart.
C-3PO
On a relief mission to aid the quake-stricken Aleena, C-3PO and his counterpart R2-D2 venture deep into the subterranean world of Aleen. Bewildered by the strange sights and sounds that surround him, Threepio nonetheless helps solve the riddle of Aleen's devastation.
R2-D2
Compared to C-3PO's skittish nature, R2-D2's daring temperament is much better suited to adventure in the depths of an alien planet. The clever astromech droid is able to solve Orphne's puzzle to return back to the surface.
