Fervently loyal to the Galactic Republic, trooper Dogma was one of the newer generation of clone troopers fighting on the frontlines of the Clone Wars. Unlike seasoned veterans like Clone Captain Rex and ARC Trooper Fives, Dogma was more rigid in his thinking, easily -- and eagerly -- submitting to appropriate authority. When clones troopers of the 501st began grousing about General Krell's obstinate and dangerous command style, Dogma jumped to defend their commander. Dogma supported the general -- and passionately believed in their duty to carry out his orders.
As a trooper, Dogma was wound tight, eager to follow every order to the letter of protocol. Anakin Skywalker remarked that Dogma reminded him of Rex, back when he was a shiny.
When Jesse and Fives defied orders and carried out a reckless but nonetheless successful mission, Dogma shared his commanding officer's offense at the insubordination.
General Krell ordered Fives and Jesse to be executed for their treachery. Dogma insisted the clone troopers carry out the execution, and needed to be thrown in the brig when the troopers defied this unthinkable command.
Tup was likewise a new generation clone, and tended to be less certain of his own initiatives than his more seasoned squadmates. Dogma's concerns chipped away at Tup's confidence, and he couldn't help but be compelled to report on the activities of his seditious brothers.
When it became evident that General Krell had used the loyalty of the clone troopers against them, Dogma's passionate patriotism was transformed into hatred. Dogma saw Krell as a traitor to the Republic, and gunned down the general in cold blood.
