The adventures of young Obi-Wan Kenobi and his master Qui-Gon Jinn are further chronicled by Jude Watson in the continuing Jedi Apprentice series. Set during Obi-Wan's teen years, the series follows the young Padawan and his master during the days of the Old Republic, when the Jedi order was strong. Watson's storytelling style is such that these books -- intended for young adult readers -- are readily enjoyed by fans of all ages.

Here's a preview of the upcoming installments of this popular series:

Available now is The Captive Temple, the seventh book in the series. The Jedi Temple is under siege by a nefarious intruder that has infiltrated the noble order. An attempt has been made on Yoda's life, and suspicion and paranoia run rampant. But for the Jedi, there is no fear -- only serenity -- and knowledge lies in the Force. Young Obi-Wan Kenobi and Master Qui-Gon Jinn must root out the heart of the conspiracy, or watch the serene Jedi Temple crumble from within.

Next up in June is The Day of Reckoning, in which Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are lured to the planet Telos by Qui-Gon's former apprentice, Xanatos. There they are framed for a crime they did not commit and are viewed as enemies by all they encounter.

In The Fight for Truth, news of a potential Jedi brings Qui-Gon Jinn and Adi Gallia to the world of Kegan. They discover a web of treachery, and their apprentices, Obi-Wan and Siri are imprisoned in a draconian school where freedom is outlawed and detention is permanent. This ninth book in the series is due out in August.

All three books feature stunning cover art by Cliff Nielsen.
