Author of Star Wars: Episode I Journal - Queen Amidala and four books in the Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice series, Jude Watson has been actively expanding upon the prequel-era universe of Star Wars: Episode I in 1999. In the first quarter of 2000, three new titles from Watson will be released. Here's a preview...

Loyal apprentice to Darth Sidious, Darth Maul faithfully records every detail of Sith activity. Star Wars: Episode I Journal - Darth Maul records the events, thoughts and motivations from Maul's point of view from the time of the Trade Federation's blockade of the planet Naboo, to the last entry before his death.

Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice - The Uncertain Path is the sixth in a series of books by Scholastic which tell the earliest adventures of Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. While the series was produced with younger readers in mind, it has been embraced by readers of all ages because of its emotionally complex characters and sophisticated story lines. In The Uncertain Path, master and apprentice have parted company as Obi-Wan abandons Jedi training to take part in a revolution. With Qui-Gon on Coruscant, Obi-Wan will be on his own as friends become enemies.

In The Captive Temple, seventh in the Jedi Apprentice series, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan will have to unravel a conspiracy as an attempt is made on a Jedi Council member's life and the Council is threatened from within.
